Solomon was a man who had everything…and still wasn’t immune to being depressed. If you read through the book of Ecclesiastes you will see him fighting through his depression and trying all the wrong things. It wasn’t until chapter 12 that he had his “ah-ha” moment. “Remember your Creator” (Ecclesiastes 12:1)…that is what changed everything! We get depressed because we have lost our value and self-worth…but when you remember your Creator and you accept the love He has for you then you realize (“Ah-ha!”) then you DO have WORTH and you DO have VALUE…and it comes from GOD!!
This is who our CREATOR is…He created the universe and everything in it. He also created YOU (Psalm 139:13)! Not only did God create you…He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for you! That’s how much God, your Creator, loves you! So no matter what life throws at you…God will always be there for you and will always love you! Allow your value to come from your Creator!
